"Hey, everyone. This is my first fixed gear build and I really had a great time. I'm pretty pleased with the way it turned out and I look forward to improving the bike over time. The frame is a leader LD-737R with a carbon aero fork also from Leader. The rear wheel is a fixed/free Weinmann Deep V and the front wheel is a black Aerospoke. I was against not having the wheels match at first, but a friend of mine had a similar set up on his bike and it just grew on me. The saddle is by Selle San Marco and the seat post is a carbon wrapped aluminum by FSA. Handle bars are Cinelli 64's wrapped in cotton tape and the stem is by specialized. I'm not sure the brand of the chain, but the crank set and pedals are by Origin 8. Eventually I'd like to swap out the crank set for a Sugino setup. Some people think the red is a little out of place, but I'm happy with it. Let me know what you think, and thanks to everyone for posting all of their rides. Great site!!"
I can’t tell if the chainring is gold or yellow, but it’d be sweet to have the rear wheel match it either way. Not that the red looks terrible, i like the rim/tire combo. This thing is major, looks like fun.
Thanks. The chain ring is gold and I thought about doing the rear wheel the same color, but I couldn’t find a stock rim in a matching color…they were all a little bit off. Thanks again for checking it out.
waste money on an aerospoke instead of a drive train…
That’s where you’re wrong….ebay is very powerful my friend. Also, dust off your manners.
I love leaders. Very aerodynamic and fun to ride, even though I have only rode once on them. Nice bike but the red seemed a bit too much. Eh, Once those tires wear out try some new colors. The red does catch the eyes attention though.
It really is great to ride. Really light and quick. Yeah, it seems to be the general consensus about the red, we’ll see what happens next. What do you suggest?
Noticing your crank is yellow here are my suggestions
1st you can place the black tire in the back and the red in the front (typical mismatch of colors)
2nd place the black front tires in the back and buy either yellow or white for the front
The white goes with the letters or the yellow because it goes with the crank and the colors are soothing when it is black and yellow.
Personally, I love black and yellow and that is color of my bike when I custom painted it. The bike should reflect your taste and preference in color so pimp it out haha.
Jonathan,
Thanks for the comments. I actually just swapped out the crankset for a Miche Primato. It’s gold. I’m thinking that a black tire on the rear wheel will be the first step. I’ll post updated pics soon.
THIS BIKE IS FOR SALE. LEAVE A COMMENT IF YOU’RE INTERESTED.
